BECKY OH!
Becky O. was born on the eastern slopes of the Andes to itinerant missionary musicians. Her association with fabric began at an early age, when as a teenager she began spinning the fur of llamas into bandanas worn by the more fashionable guerillas of the Sendero Luminoso group, and continued after she set up an atelier devoted to high-altitude couture.
After an unfortunate incident with a renegade Peace Corps volunteer she moved to the U.S., where she married the east coast surfboard designer Pablo "Longboard" Lefkowicz. Becky O. studied sculpture and textile arts at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and after taking a sabbatical to surf five of the seven seas, she settled in New Hampshire and established Becky Oh!, New England's foremost purveyor of portable style.*

Becky O'Neil started Becky OH! in 2004 as a way to satisfy her own craving for fabulous handbags. She collects interesting fabrics wherever she travels, always striving for funky combinations of pattern and texture. Each of her bags is handmade and a one-of-a-kind creation.
Becky Oh! believes in independent design, art and business. She believes independent designers can create products that are useful, fashionable and unique with quality and worth that surpass mass-produced items and she welcomes the chance to work with other artisans.
